The Injustice Begins: A State's Attorney with a Bias
The State's Attorney who dropped the murder charges against Shannon Brandt received a mere 1,123 votes. A staunch liberal with a visceral disdain for Trump, she was all too willing to be lenient on Brandt for the killing of a teen he wrongfully assumed was affiliated with the GOP. This is a glaring reminder that every vote counts, especially down the ballot.
Biden's Incendiary Speech: Fuel to the Fire
Just days before the tragic incident, President Joe Biden stood at Independence Hall, delivering a divisive speech on so-called "MAGA Extremism." His words were not just polarizing but dangerously irresponsible, according to four domestic counterterrorism officials. Biden's rhetoric only served to deepen the divide in an already fractured nation.
The Crime: A Life Cut Short
Shannon Brandt, 42, accused 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson of being part of an "extremist Republican group." On the fateful night, Brandt engaged in a verbal altercation with Ellingson during a street dance event. Fearing for his safety, the teen called his mother as Brandt pursued him in his vehicle. Tragically, Brandt struck and killed Ellingson, driving over the young man's torso and legs.
The Aftermath: A Sweetheart Plea Deal
Initially charged with intentional homicide, Brandt was sentenced to just FIVE YEARS for manslaughter. Much like Hunter Biden, he received a sweetheart plea deal. He'll even get credit for time served under house arrest, reducing his jail term by nearly a full year. All this for taking a life in its prime.
The 911 Call: A Web of Lies
During the 911 call, Brandt falsely claimed Ellingson was connected to a 'right-wing extremist group,' a claim that has since been thoroughly debunked. Yet, he was allowed to address the courtroom, expressing faux remorse for his actions.
The Contrast: January 6 vs. A Murder
Two non-violent January 6 protesters were recently sentenced to 22 and 17 years, respectively. Meanwhile, a Biden supporter who killed a Trump-supporting teen received a mere five years, including a year off for time served. This is the "social justice" that the radical left champions.
Conclusion: A Broken System
The case of Cayler Ellingson is a grim testament to America's two-tiered justice system, where political bias trumps the rule of law. It's time we hold our leaders and justice system accountable for such glaring disparities.
