Republicans Tuning into the Democrat’s Jan 6th Hearing Were Shocked to Learn They Were Being Tried in Absentia.
House Republicans stood down and are allowing the Democrats to run roughshod over congressional rules and norms.
This evening House Democrats aired the first installment of several prime time specials they have planned - ‘The January 6th Committee: Insurrection at the Capitol’. Throughout the 233-year history of the United States Congress, members from both parties have held hearings on every imaginable topic. This will be the first time when only one party will be heard.1
Over the coming days and weeks, the Democrats with the help of Hollywood will conduct our nation’s first Soviet-style show trials. However, during Soviet show trials, the accused were present, had legal representation, and were allowed to testify. Those accused of sedition by the Democrats will not be allowed to speak. They will not be represented by lawyers. Their congressional representatives will not only be absent but many of them will be on trial as well. We are a nation divided today. Denying half of us a voice will further divide us.
Democrats tuning into the hearings ALREADY hated Trump and Republicans in general. They don’t need help hating. Republicans tuning into the hearings are having their suspicions that the system is rigged confirmed.
Every juror in the nation will be tainted as the Democrats prosecute January 6th defendants, Republicans who opposed the committee, and even former President Trump. If these show trials inspire an NYC or DC prosecutor to indict Trump and a jury convicts him we’ll end up with a civil war on our hands or we’ll see the GOP take power and begin putting Democrats like Obama and Clinton in leg irons. That will set the stage for General Milley or someone like him to step forward to end the partisan madness. Sadly military rule is the rule not the exception for troubled states. Last year the military took power in Myanmar, Mali, Kabul, Guinea, and Sudan. This year the military took power in Burkina Faso and there are several more coups underway as we speak.
How do/did you feel about the hearing?

And before you say that there are two Republicans on the committee let me stop you there. There are no Republicans on the committee. The leader’s appointees were prevented from joining the committee by Speaker Pelosi.
